Maura has been singing as long as she can remember, and studying voice for all of her adult life. In this three-hour intensive workshop, she’ll give you all the vocal tips and secrets she’s been collecting for over 20 years. She’ll share her pre-performance meditation, vocal warm-ups, tips on how to keep your vocal mechanism at its peak, and recipes for libations to keep the lungs and vocal chords happy. Pete's Guitar skills upgrade for singer-songwriters.
Sunday, June 1, 2008, noon-five pm, Northampton, MA
We'll cover basic exercises to decrease stress, smooth out your playing, and make the whole thing easier and more fun. We'll also explain a little bit of the theory behind those chords you've been playing, and show you how to make up your own. Basically, we'll try to bust you out of that rut you've been in!
